The website is designed to be a support for the practical implementation of WFD in transitional waters in Mediterranean Area, establishing link among researches, agencies and institutions.The website is structured in order to organise and coordinate a number of actions aimed to evaluate the optimal typological classification comparing an a priori approach, directly based on the expert view, with an a posteriori approach, through the statistical analisys of the environmental niche of Mediterranean lagoons.
